Polygiene and global manufacturer Wacoal simplifies everyday-life for women in farming

Publish date: 23 jan 2017

Global manufacturer for women’s intimate apparel – Wacoal (http://www.wacoal.com/), has turned to Polygiene to treat their new line of odor-free underwear developed for female workers involved in agriculture in Japan. Wacoal and Polygiene has formed a strategic partnership to support the Nougyou-Joshi project, or Women in Agriculture Project, backed by the Ministry of Agriculture in Japan.

The Wacoal tank tops are part of a series of Wacoal undergarments developed for women farmers, which started when the company became involved in the Nougyou-Joshi project in November 2015. Beginning in April 2017, approximately 25 000 units will be available for purchase online and in Japanese retail stores.

“We are proud to be a part of this exciting initiative for women farmers in Japan along with Wacoal,” says Christian von Uthmann, CEO of Polygiene. “We look forward to deepening our strategic partnership with Wacoal.”

The Wacoal product line is based on input from women farmers directly involved in the project, especially addressing their concerns about wearing and working in comfortable undergarments that are supportive, moisture-wicking, quick-drying and easy to maintain. The tank-tops are therefore produced in lightweight, breathable cotton with stay-in-place straps and comfortable form-fitting design. In addition, the tank top does not need to be washed after every use due to odor since they are Polygiene treated and can be used several times in a row.
